The pedal is based on the BOSS-OD1. It features a simple circuit design with a few key components, including an operational amplifier (op-amp) for gain control, two different clipping diode setups, and a potentiometer to adjust the level of overdrive. The pedal is powered by a 9V external power supply, and it has a standard 1/4" input and output jack for connecting to a guitar and amplifier. The clipping setup was decided by my friend to have a softer clipping using silicon diodes in a symmetrical configuration. The pedal enclosure was custom-designed, 3D printed and assembled by me as well.
